Nicolás Maduro directs a televised message while Venezuela is going through a massive blackout that began Thursday afternoon and continues until now.
During his speech, Maduro again blamed the United States Government for the power cut in a large part of the country.
"We in record time managed to determine the electromagnetic attack that affected the brain of Corpoelec," said Maduro.
The leader of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), accused of being the usurper of the opposition and the majority of the international community that is unaware of the last elections in that country, also assured that on Monday they had captured two people "in flagrante" while trying to sabotage the electrical network.
"We captured two individuals trying to sabotage El Guri's communication system, and I ask that the Venezuelan justice go for the intellectual authors of this gigantic damage that they have done to our people," he said before calling the National Forces stay alert.
Maduro also warned of "new attacks" that will happen in the coming days, while trying to restore service.
It should be noted that neither Maduro nor any member of the Chavista regime has presented evidence on the alleged attacks suffered by the electricity network. Nor have details been given about the alleged detainees near El Guri.
